Ryukyu Metaverse Lab of Innovation
Institute for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship
Our laboratory has been involved in industry-academia-government collaboration for more than 20 years. We have been conducting research and studies in the humanities and sciences. We participate in international conferences such as ISPIM, UIIN, and AUTM, where innovation experts, practitioners, and policymakers come together. We have visited a wide variety of leading universities and research institutes all over the world. We are also involved in the formation of an innovation ecosystem in Okinawa Prefecture to develop entrepreneurship education. Also, we have been involved in ICT utilization for more than 20 years, and are promoting research and education for DX (digital transformation). In particular, we are promoting research and development utilizing metaverse and AI.
当研究室は、産学官連携に20年以上関わっています。その間、医学・工学・農学・理学分野との文理融合型の調査研究を継続し、世界中のイノベーションの専門家・実務家・政策立案者等が集う、ISPIM、UIIN、AUTM等の国際会議に参加しているほか、内外の先進的な大学や研究機関の視察を行っています。沖縄県のイノベーション・エコシステムの形成にも携わり、起業家育成教育の展開を図っています。ICTの利活用にも20年以上関わっているので、DX(デジタル・トランスフォーメーション）に対応した研究教育を推進中。特に、メタバースとAIを活用した研究開発に取り組んでいます。
About Ryukyu Metaverse Lab
With the metaverse and AI as its two wings, this lab shall take flight toward the future.
Innovation is a major theme in business administration and economics worldwide. To solve environmental problems, especially climate change, Japan's local development policy, industry, local communities, and government are in search of innovative and entrepreneurial human resources. Our institution is collaborating with many companies, managers, entrepreneurs, creators, entertainers, and government officials in organizing special seminars and creating an innovation ecosystem. We aim to explore the essence of innovation from both academic and practical perspectives. Additionally, we are conducting research and studies on the nature of 21st-century management from the perspective of Happiness Studies, which has become a global trend.
イノベーションは経営学や経済学等の主要テーマの一つであり、気候変動問題に代表される環境問題解決、我が国の地方創生政策、産業界、地域社会や行政でも、最も望まれているのがイノベーション人材＝起業家的人材です。多くの企業、経営者、起業家、クリエーターや芸能人、行政関係者と協働した特別セミナーや、イノベーション・エコシステムの形成に協力し、学術的な意義だけではなく、実践の中からイノベーションの本質に迫ります。世界的に潮流の一つとなっている幸福学の観点から、21世紀型の経営の在り方も調査研究しています。

Ryukyu Metaverse Lab conducts cross-disciplinary research on theories, theories, and policies that will become mainstream in the next 10 to 20 years. We have also been involved in the utilization of ICT for many years, and we are also promoting advanced efforts in DX (Digital Transformation) in business and education. Regardless of whether you are in humanities or sciences, knowledge of AI and robotics-related technologies, data science, and digital skills have become essential. We look forward to an exciting future created by entrepreneurs.
Ryukyu Metaverse Labは、これから10年後、20年後に主流になるであろう理論や学説、政策などを分野横断的に調査研究しています。また、長年、ICTの利活用に関わってきたので、ビジネスや教育のDX(デジタル・トランスフォーメーション）でも先進的な取り組みを進めています。文系・理系を問わず、AIやロボット関連技術、データ・サイエンスの知識やデジタル・スキルは必須になっています。アントレプレナーが創るエキサイティングな未来を楽しみにしています。

The head of our laboratory is called the "Flying Professor" because he freely flies around the world, has a creative mindset, and takes action without waiting for a "ready, set, go" signal.
当研究室の主は、世界中を自由気ままに飛び回っていること、考え方が飛んでいること、そして「よ～いドン」の合図を待たずに行動することから、フライング・プロフェッサーと呼ばれています。
